EMMANUEL BIBLE COLLEGE

statement of faith

we believe…

Emmanuel Bible College is rooted in the beliefs and practices of historic Christianity as laid down in the writings of Scripture and summarized in the creeds of the Church. EBC is also committed to an evangelical expression of the Christian faith, which guides our learning and well as our community values and mission. While we are eager to journey alongside Christians and Churches from many denominations and networks, we are committed to uphold these standards in our courses and student life experiences as we do so. The following is a summary of what we believe:

We believe the Bible is the infallible, authoritative, living Word of God; the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

We believe in one God who has always existed in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God who is both fully God & fully human. We believe he came to earth, lived a sinless life, proclaimed the good news of God’s kingdom, died, was resurrected, and ascended into heaven for the redemption of the world, and that he is the only One who can reconcile people to God.

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit with His fruit and gifts available in and through God’s people.

We believe human beings are the pinnacle of God’s creation, made in His image, to be like Him in character.

We believe God's free gift of salvation, that includes forgiveness and reconciliation, is available to all people.

We believe sanctification is the life-long process of God's grace and truth transforming believers’ hearts, minds, and lives.

We believe God has called his Church—the one global people of God—to be ambassadors of his kingdom on earth and that he continues to make this kingdom known through miracles such as works of healing.

We believe in the ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and water baptism for all believers.

We believe marriage is a covenant, a sacred union between one man and one woman.

We believe in the glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the final resurrection of the dead, and that a person’s response to His saving work determines their eternal destination.
